ONKI
Bringing Warms to Every Bites
The name "ONKI" means "warmth" in Korean. It embodies everything we want this bakery to represent—an inviting space where every loaf, pastry, and treat brings comfort and joy. Our goal is to craft baked goods that not only taste great but also leave a lasting impression of warmth and care.
Meet the Baker
Hi, I’m Gahee, the baker and owner of ONKI Bakery. For me, the early morning hours hold a certain magic—when the world is still, and I can fully immerse myself in the simple joy of making and baking bread. In those peaceful moments, I find true happiness, and I feel incredibly fortunate to share that joy with those who enjoy my bread and with the community around me.
Ever since I was young, I’ve loved cooking and knew that I wanted to dedicate my life to it. I decided to follow my passion by studying culinary arts and baking at Le Cordon Bleu, a renowned French culinary school. After graduating, I spent more than 10 years working as a baker in Korea, China, and the United States, learning different techniques and traditions from each place. These experiences have shaped my unique style of baking, where I combine the flavors of my upbringing with French methods to create something truly special.
